watchman 256
dont know if i should admit this but i have saved loads pics off here from other members only for my own use if you know what i mean, sort of hunting ans wildlife collection, one that springs to mind was a pelican i think with a fish stunning pic,is this ok or not dont want upset anyone atvb rob In my opinion that's fine - saving a pic because you love it, maybe to show to people who aren't forum members or whatever. It's only the same as, say, cutting a picture out of a magazine and keeping it, for the same reason. I don't think many photographers would object to that, and most would be pleased that their shot had such an impact. When it becomes wrong is if you try and pass off the shot as your own for whatever reasons, either posting it elsewhere or selling it on for commercial gain. That's when it all gets a bit shady. Just my opinion, mind! well if thats your oppinion mate, thats good enough for me,love to see them on here, some are really stunning and worth showing off,id never get away with passing them off as my own,way out of my league atvb rob
farlap 19
Sorry mate but thats sh1te ...i know if you post a picture in a public place on t'interent you are offering it up for fair usage ..but to claim its your dog is downright libellous utter rubbish mate......copyright belongs to the photographer (apart from a few minor exceptions) and putting it on the net does not make it available for fair usage. Its theft however you look at it, to use the image without permission. As a professional photographer of 20 years, im heartliy sick of thieves, and now send invoises tyo everyone i catch using my images without permission or the correct payment. ive just discovered someon on this site has stolen images from my site and used them on face book. They can also expect an invoice if they are reading this now!!!
Tis TM 8
I've just been looking through the members gallery and a member has posted a photo that i took of my labrador Fern retreiving a partridge claiming it to be there dog!!!!! how sad is that... The other fact is that the image has been copied from this forum... I'll not be posting anymore images on here now without putting a copyright right through the middle... What was the outcome of this then Mally? Did you contact the person?
Bush Rummager 4,475
Now then, i'm sure i read in the terrier section a few months back, that a member had removed some of his posted images off here because "some sad twat had downloaded them", what i'm asking is, can you tell if an image has been downloaded from THL other than seeing it posted somwhere else? im with you Mally, bang out of order... Fabapocalypse 35
I've just found another one of mine on another - and different to those before - website. Lifted off another forum. It's a charity again, or at least one with charitable intent, but it would be nice if they would just ask!
Guest lavyheed
It's a cracking photo btw mally,But to claim it as their own and think that they wouldn't get caught is just plain stupid. They're obviously not playing with a full deck.

wuzzy 0
had this argument on the airgun section some bloke nicked a pic off a friends profile and used it as his avatar, funnily enough his mate jumped in to defend him for it, i explained he should remove it as it was taken in my garden and taken off my friends profile but his friend was addament that it was ok just to go aroung right clicking on pics that you like
