Annmarie09 5
This happens all the time on ebay, sellers who are scammers steal other people's pics to because obviously they haven't actually got the item to photograph. I use photobucket and if I catch anyone using my photos I replace the pic with this: but that can only be done through photobucket. If I posted a pic of my dog and found someone else passing her off as theirs I'd be devastated, if a charity used a photo for fund raising or whatever I'd be ok with that, but it is manners to ask. Any commercial company using it should offer a payment. Someone I know saw a photo of his Springer swimming in the local harbour in the paper - it had won a prize of £1000! kristian 9
dont know if i should admit this but i have saved loads pics off here from other members only for my own use if you know what i mean, sort of hunting ans wildlife collection, one that springs to mind was a pelican i think with a fish stunning pic,is this ok or not dont want upset anyone atvb rob I'm guilty of this too I've got a folder full of all the old dog pics that were posted on here. I suppose most of them were probably copied from different sites on the net? theres a thread on here somewhere with all the pics on. I would never claim them to be mine thats for sure but i think they are nice to keep just to look at. I bet theres loads and loads of avatars on here that people have copied of the net! i suppose my view is as long as they don't claim them to be theirs and the ask permission it's ok? Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Im in no position to comment on copyright and the legal side but unless a pic is marked as copyright then you pros are open to the worst .Use a bit of the old grey matter and stop whinging .Pics + internet +unscrupulous person =stolen pic .Simples really . Edited to say ive just tried to do it and succeded but got no interest in using others work .Im no computer boff by any standards but it really is easy to do .
