Meriln2008 0
I put in an area search for my localiity for any operatives and found none.Brill I thought, Then noticed at bottom of web page they are in Dunstable..........3 miles from me,???????????????????????????????? Could you please rephrase the question? This site is open to ALL pest controllers that are qualified and insured to undertake this type of work. Its not some big company that is about to wipe you off the face of the earth. I dont see what you are getting at? Having looked at your website, i see you dont even treat wasp nests???? Ease up tiger, all I Was curious about is why you didn't show up on your website as an operative in your own area. If you look at your post from a different angle it looks like you are lookng to make money out of others as in commision but kills itself when the end of your post's state..."I see dumb people" If you'd taken note of my website you should of spotted that my main income is from ENGINEERING DESIGN with an add on for my hobby .... Trapping and vermin control. I do a reasonable amount of wasp control locally in the summer but not on a pro basis. And in a way which does not require me to hold a licence for pesticide and hazardas chemical use. Check with Central Beds council on High St North. I've done work for them on a few occasions over the last 5-6yrs and don't wish too advertise for more work in wasp control as alround I'm busy enough as is. I did notice that you your website wasn't pest control dominated and that it was indeed an add on! The website isnt mine, rather a freind of mine's, he used to be a member of this site, but was hounded out by the "dumb people" and thier "dumb" followers which pretty much demonstrates how this site has been recently. I would be interested to know your methods of wasp control, considering that you are not a proffesional pest controller? What chemicals you use and where you buy them from? And are you insured to take out this work for the council? Why have a go a site that is only trying to help out other people in the same game? FFS this is how field sports has been for decades, when it comes to the final nail, i and many others will be standing there saying "told you so" Don't get me wrong I wasn't having a go, it's an open market and good luck to those who make a go of it. I don't use any chemicals which is why I don't need a licence. My public liability insurance is covered by my company (JNY ENGINEERING SERVICES) which is myself. Don't want to spend all night describing every which way it can be done without chemicals but the main tools are plastic fish tanks with modified lids and a lot of cheap coke or lemonade. Each situation will be different so the tank size would need to be different, in some situations I just modify the large drink bottles. Mainly the places I get asked to do this is where chemicals can cause more problems than the wasps ie allergy's etc which is as already mentioned not too often. It's an old trick adapted, Its slow, but effective and adaptable to size and location of the problem. The messiest part of this is the disposal. try getting a gallon of sweet sticky fluid that's been doubled in size by the quantity of drowned wasps included, through a loft hatch less than 18" sq without spilling any of the contents on the clients new stair carpet. Good luck to your friend I do honestly hope it works for him. Last piont is to agree with you on how the forum sometimes goes. I get tired of seeing a good post falling foul to two responders using it to bitch at each other and totally spoiling the flow of the subject. Quote Link to post
