who needs a lamp

Recommended Posts

well its been a year since molly and millet were out with me lamping the conditions were a little bright to say the least infact you would think some one had turned a light on as you could actually see the chases with out the lamp.

this was just a run out for the dogs as it was the first time for ages that molly was off work so we had to go she was excited as she wanted to see her big dog khan running again i iknow she was over the moon as he caught the first 4 he chased. millet had a few with ben, it was that quiet you could hear the squeels from the next field over no wind at all tonight i had a young lad with me he was running a beddy whippet xwhich was a young dog and was catching well. and i was working sam who was on good form all though he was recovering from a injury to his right foot. we were out just over 3hours and ended up with 21 not bad considering the conditions.MOLLY has a few pics as well when she finally gets out of bed :11: a good night in good company once again

Just as well we did'nt need a lamp, ehh Woodga. Since someone broke my lamp fiddling about with it unnecessarily before we even set off, not mentionong any names

What a night though, we could see each other in different fields it was so light, and not even a slight breeze totally still and silent.

Khans 1st season was shared with Jazz, so he didnt get out as much as he should and was proving to be a pain hunting up when he missed. His second season for various reasons we did'nt get out very much. But ive been working on his recall ever since, so last night was fingers x'd

He had 10 runs in total and caught the 1st 6 (not 4 woodga  ) with great style and ease. Non of his silly running around with it in his mouth :clapper: but then again no retrieves to hand, but close enough.

He missed the next 4 off the trot, but in his and our defence they were all sat in the middle of fields about 3 inches from holes, and because we dont know the land, didnt realise. As for the hunting up, he had about 6secs sniffing where the rabbit had been then came back :rocker: To be honest im more pleased about his behaviour than the catches. Looks like something has finally gotten into old numpty nuts grey matter and it all came together last night :D

Ben and Sam are veterans at this game and nothing phases them, no more training required and as usuall performed effortlessly. Young Michael (fancy bringing a vunerable young lad out with me  ) and his bitch...Edna, really enjoyed themselves, although he was very quiet, i think 'gobsmacked' might have been the reason :laugh:

Brilliant to be out again, ive missed it for what seemed like a very long time, and as usual a laugh from start to finish with brilliant company :signthankspin:

We got home about 3am, by the time dogs were fed and id had my cuppa bed at about 4am.

A small bunnie was shared as a treat for the dogs...

He was'nt named Genghis Khan for nothing...pure evil :D

Thank you very much for sharing your bunnies with us again Woodga
