Phil Harrison 0 Posted November 15, 2009 Report Share Posted November 15, 2009 Hi we will try again i have had working terriers for a long time there is an old saying that i try to stick to the best is only just good enough so for me its the best or the best i can afford wethe it be dogs birds hawks or horses since a child both me and my brother could not be kept out of the fields and woods with ferrets and lurchers and terriers in my twenties and thirties i was digging mad and any terrier i had to be exceedingly game anything showing the white feather was not tolerated the terriers i have today are bred down fro the dogs i had then using tidy dogs on my old bitches that have been well tried and of the same sort of line which were losely Middleton and go back to all the old dogs with deservedly big reputations the stuff i had one many shows for me and others but they had to prove them selves at work and chose how smart had to be first rate at there job i was asked on many occasions to judge terriers and luchers as we kept some good dogs that could take 5 out of 5 on the fens and were just as good in walled fields round Yorkshire and place like thirsk north York's in fact there was not any where we would not travel to see the dogs work i have not had a lucher for many years but every thing was on the menue hare fox venison and rabbit day or night a few photos of my tyks ATB Phil Quote Link to post
