YOKEL 2,276
what is the purpose for breeding? at 1yr most dogs are'nt fully formed mentally or physically, so it would be impossible at that age to know whether it is worth breeding from or not. i'm assuming as this is posted in the "working" terrier section this bitch is being used for graft, and as such you would be hoping for workers from her, if this is correct (and i hope so) then even at 2yrs she would not of seen enough to make her 100% proven. and at the end of the day, thats the only time you should consider breeding from either dog or bitch. j.m.o... hogdog 61
There are tons of staffies about at the moment and alot of people end up giving pups away because they can't sell them (even superbly bred dogs with a great reputation) so think seriously about breeding her. You will most likely end up being out of pocket because of the expense involoved and knackered from the amount of work. I think that only the best of the best staffies should be bred and she needs to really be proven yet as she's still a puppy herself. Quote Link to post
Running 7
tell your mate to jog on you will bred the bitch when and if its good enough Quote Link to post

ghostlyease 17
Allot of really great advice. Just viewing the free advert sites will give you some idea of how many dogs are out there, your girls just a baby, plenty of time and thought to come before you consider breeding. Quote Link to post
