lurchergrrl 1,441
Is it solid feeling .... not like a spot or maybe an infected spliter? To me it looks a slightly suspicious growth and I'd have the vet look at it, especially if it has appeared/grown quickly.

*ferrifleboy 19
I noticed it yesterday and its hard to touch but the skin holding in the fluid seems thin. I'm going to leave it for a few days see if it goes down or she chews it herself to pop it. just seeking advice and idea's as to what it is. Its on the inside of her front leg. Thanks
shannon1970 0
looks like a blister, certain foods can make them have blisters with overheating, too much protein,if in doubt let vet have a look
littlefish 586
It could be a sebaceous cyst. My old dog has had several over the years. They have not caused him any trouble.
Rainmaker 7
Obviously I'm not saying it's what it is (and can't!), but my terrier bitch had an identical lump in exactly the same place last week, after being bitten in the line of duty It took a few days but it went away in the end Obviously if it starts growing, gets in any way worse, or doesn't go away I'd have the dog straight to the vets. Meantime I wouldn't be worried.
*ferrifleboy 19
For all those that replied I want to inform that the above lump has been removed due to the speed it grew and lack of loose skin available on the leg to allow enough skin to be able to stitch the cut up before it got any bigger. The lump was sent away and forgive for not being able to remember the name but it was cancer, fortunately one that doesn't spread and I caught it early enough in size to be able to remove the whole lump leaving enough skin to stitch the cut up before needing skin grafts and have been told there's a one in ten chance of it returning so fingers crossed
skycat 6,173
Nice one: thanks for posting this: good that you caught it in time. I reckon we ought to have a pinned section for all things like this so that people can refer to what would be an encylopdia of ailments and injuries etc. Especially with good photos like in this one.
