Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
That's similar to a pair of Jill albino's i had years back... they were known as ace #1 & ace # 2 Only way we could tell them apart quickly when in the field was to look at their whiskers... Ace # 1 had very straight whiskers, Ace # 2 had crinkles .... Was easy once anyone with us had to know.... Never thought i see a post similar to what i went through. Another method is to mark the top of head lightly with a marker pen, stays on a while unless in real wet conditions... then it becomes a paint, lol Cheers, Shaun Quote Link to post

fensaluki 35
If you just trim the hairs square on the end of one of thems tail like "chalkwarren" says you will be able to tell them apart and you dont have to do it every time as their hair dosnt grow back to quickly on their tail. Be sure to be carefull though and make sure its only hair you trim Quote Link to post
whin 463
you could always call them diffrent names and theyl come to there seprate names lol what about some marker on there belly or some other type of marker or a small collar or like chalkie says cut ones tail off i mean fur lol, youll get to learn as they have personalities through time Quote Link to post
John-B 4
why do you want to know the difference anyway? just keep handling them and you will get to know their different temperaments. Quote Link to post
max abell 196
As chalkwarren said mate trim the end of the tail hair of one of the ferrets Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
why do you want to know the difference anyway? just keep handling them and you will get to know their different temperaments. where i go ferreting john there's only enough work for one ferret,3 or 4 rabbits max.I just want to alternate who i take out,if i had big warrens that needed two ferrets i wouldn't worry about it.I went with chalkwarrens suggestion in the end thought it would be easier than dying her red I was chuffed with her today first time out flew to ground bolted the rabbit her sisters turn now tomorrow. Thanks for all the replies JB Quote Link to post
