Cannyboy 34
well heres the update on my post sorry its been so long bt only just got new laptop, im pleased to say that our horses where returned by the rspca yesterday 16th december. after many letters from my solicitor and a cost of nearly 500 to myself and also an interview for me and my misses at our local police station they where returned to us with no charge. both are well and healthy apart from the fact that my mare was in foal when the rspca took them but now as been returned to me not in foal!! the rspca claimed that she wasnt in foal when they took her and that if i wished to dispute this then i could take them to civil court at my own cost. im just pleased to get them both back and my misses is over the moon best xmas present she could have had. many thanks for all your helpful replys. happy xmas to all and good hunting!! spep21 0
Glad to hear you got them back mate. Recently had a run in with them myself. One of my lurchers was sleeping in the van about 6 weeks ago when I got a bang on the door at 2.30am!! Old bill at the door had seen it and wanted to speak to me. Cutting a long story shorter they ended up getting the vet out at 3am to have a look at old hunting scars and vet was a complete t**t aswell. This must have then been reported to the RSPCA as they have been round to see me 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Seems they think they can pop in whenever they are passing. Told them to F**K OFF last time and they turned up again with the old bill to make sure that another lurcher had been cleaned up after it was caught on barbed wire, which was healed up by this time. They asked me alot of questions and warned me that no doubt they will be back. Does anyone else think this is over the top?

Helen 2
Fantastic you got them back, my daughter helped out at the RSPCA stables it was a joke. There were a couple of very old horses there who were taken from their owner for being in bad condition. six months later after the RSPCA had them feeding them the very best of everything they still looked exactly the same, owner had lost one that looked fine and was still taken to court. They also wasted thousands of pounds paying for operations on very elderly horses who had very little quality of life and would have been better PTS. They could have spend the wasted money on helping young dogs instead of putting them down! They really are crap. They are also getting much too powerful, people should start donating to smaller charities that actually do some good.
Cannyboy 34
yer so pleased we got them back my misses was gutted when they where taken especially when the rspca confirmed there was nothing wrong with them but still refused to give them back until we had made a formal interview at our local police station. then we received a call from them saying they would return the horses by a transport person who didnt work for the rspca so not to speak to him about it as he wouldnt know anything. the rspca officer who was dealing with our case and was no help whatsover and who told my misses not to expect to get them back didnt even have the face to bring them back with maybe even an apology. bicykillgaz 1
the rspca is a joke i wrote a thread a few weeks ago about how i came to get my dog and the condition he was in and the fact we had to sign a piece of paper to say he left in perfect health even though when we got him to a vet 11/2 hours later the vet said "lets just see if he makes the night" anyway my point is that the rspca approved kennel has just been given an award for been so good!!!!! its crooked i've known several people that have had similar experiences and pets at home in lincoln stopped donating food as they got so many bad reports back. that makes my blood, piss, shit and pretty much everything else boil i would try and find out where they are keeping your horse and go and fetch them. glad you got them back mate Edited December 19, 2009 by bicykillgaz
