Guest JOEB
Look, if I am way off the mark then I will say sorry, but the facts are, 1. You spend your 1st five days on here coming on strong to all the blokes! 2. You then say that one dog is smashed and the other to nervy to work. 3. You then post that your first trip out is gonna be to slip a nervy dog on charlie single handed. As you well know, that is not allowed under current law. Now I may well be a weirdo, but if you are for real you will understand that now days if stuff dont add up, then people will get a bit suss. I still smell a rat......... JOEB Quote Link to post

JOEB No i do apolagize for calling you a weirdo..here them posts in the Women topic i wasnt coming on to anyone i was having a mess and laugh.70% of my friends are lads so i just enjoy the banter.Sorry. I have never been out properly so i am far from a expert at these things. My first dog was a terrier X type thing that caught a couple of Myxi rabbits and had a go at a fox once (pre ban) but let it go.This again was out on my own. My uncle has always rabbited with ferrerts, dog and hawk and ive always enjoyed listening to him.Although when he was around i was classed as too young to be allowed to tag along. No im not an expert at this but i genuinely wanted to have a go..everyone has got to learnbsomewhere. The majority of the lads/lasses seem sorted on here so i thought id found a nice place to read storys, admire the dogs and there work ect. If i am making you feel a bit awkward then i wont visit this forum again. Sorry for any incovienace caused :thumbs-up: Kane i was took the bolied ham to praise my dog if she had recalled. The field was secure so she cudnt have gone no where i just thought it was a good place to start off. Once again sorry for sounding like a dick..But i was only trying to learn. Guess if i want a hobby i might do best taking up Tree Hugging Edited September 8, 2006 by FastDogz Quote Link to post

Corse you have to start somewhere, but maybe not how you approached it, have you not get any friends that have running dogs? Maybe tag along with them and learn from practical experiences. Yes my dogs came from trainers after there racing career was over This is my dog. And this is my bitch I do want a lurcher but if you understand me correctly it was going to be next year when i moved house as my other half was going to build me a kennel/run. We split up earlier this week And tonight i moved back in with my Mum so for now a roof over mine and the dogs heads is the first priority :thumbs-up: Like i say if it is a problem i will leave EDITED TO SAY - I have been advised that Greyhound from the track dont really make good workers anyway after been pets for long which i didnt realise. So forgive my ignorance but we cant all know everything. dickyboy 1
thats cool but some people on here go after stuff that maybe they shouldn't and in the dog world since the ban i suppose you gotta help each other out and watch each others back............i'm sure your greyhounds will do alright...........practice all your methods with them and it'll help with your lurcher pup and they should pick up a few rabbits on the way..............they prob won't be great but they will fair ok and it gives them a run or 2............. Good Luck Quote Link to post

Good Luck Thanks for that But my lad cant run anyway not even for a mess around Well he can but he comes back on 3 legs due to a torn hip ligament from racing days. These dogs are now just pets.Id love to give my bitch a run on bunnies one day but after many discussions with experainced people ive been told to hold it and wait until i eventually get a Lurcher that has had a season or two.So the dog can teach me. Once again many thanks Quote Link to post
