patterdaddy 0
I have a beeman .177 break barrel and I've banked my rear sight all the way up and I'm still shooting to low.... has anybody ran into this and what did you do? I mean for short money I can put a scope on it but I really like using iron sights..... Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hi Buddy, What model is it? and what range are you using it at? Phantom Quote Link to post
patterdaddy 0
I have the r-7 I'm using it between 125' - 150' maybe 40 meters or so damn.... sometimes being a typical American who doesn't know how to convert us standard measurements to metric makes me feel real dumb... I also don't have a calculator but lets just say about 40 meters.... Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hi again, The Beeman R-7 is actually a Weihrauch HW30 Rifle The Beeman ones are running at about 7 foot pounds, so I would suggest that you reduce your range. I shoot various rifles and sadly in the UK we are limited to a max of 12 foot pounds before we require a Fire Arms Permit Most UK air gunners will not shoot past 35 yards due to the pellet drop and hold over required to do so and thats with a 10-11.5 foot pound rifle with a telescopic sight. If you add a telescopic sight to the rifle, you would be able to adjust further and bring the POI closer to the bull. But with open/iron sights your gonna have to do some serious hold over in order to bring the POI to the bull at that range. Most shooters that I know of wouldn't shoot an open/iron sighted springer beyond 20 yards:no: Let us know if any of us can be of further assistance to you:thumbs:. Phantom Quote Link to post
