rory 58
I was just wondering what do people use/recommend for feeding ponds?
yorksjt 0
I use either wheat or barley, which ever is easiest for the farmer to get at. People have told me that one or the other is best but I haven't noticed any difference. I have also used waste potatoes from a farm that also work well but smashing them up is a pain. I have also been told to use rape and grass seed to bring in more teal but never tried it. Any feed done consistently will work.

Redleg22 2
The value of potato peelings, banana skins, etc., is not as a direct food but because they encourage invertebrates that the ducks then eat. No need to mash the tatties - put them in whole. They will then decompose at different rates and provide long-term benefit. As far as grain is concerned, barley seems to be preferred but no need to buy good quality grain. The sweepings from under the driers will do fine.
