Malt 379
I prefer albinos, but only because they are easier to see when they exit a burrow. Quote Link to post

mick20 23
No preference, on colour really, as long as they graft. Yes albinos are easier to spot in undergrowth and fields(exept in snow lol) and i have mostly worked jills over the years. Quote Link to post

James Doyle 59
to be honest the colour of a ferret wouldnt bother me but i do tend to use jills i have a polecat x silver which is sometimes hard to see but i just use bells so i can hear where they are the colour wouldnt put me off using a ferret my polecat x silver jill Quote Link to post
pink head 28
just wondering what peoples perfered choice is when going ferreting poleys or whites hobs or jills cheers folks i use polecat jills . my mates got whites. you wont beat a good working line of polecat Quote Link to post
craigy 1
I have two polecat jills and a sandy hob i would not say one woked any better than the other the only gripe i have got is the hob tends to pull the nets all over the place when it leaves the burrows Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
I have both a white and poley jill and to be honest dont think there's much difference in working them apart from the poley tends to be a little slower at first entering the warrens but once she gets a whiff she's away. They also tend not to disturb the nets as much unless the locator collar gets caught Darryl Quote Link to post
Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
Ive had both Albino's & Polecat colurs in both Jills & Hob's, over many years. Pretty much had Albino's most of the time, no preference. Just found the ones i had were very good. Currently have an Albino Hob, a Polecat coloured Jill & a B/E White Jill. There all desexed. The polecat jill i have currently is excellent as is her sister the b/e white... I'm happy enough, they rarely spend more than 8/10 mins down before showing themselves. They're both easily called up, with a bit of dirt scratching at hole entrances pretty much every time, or i may do a sound i use often when handling them. All good, Cheers, Shaun Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Got poleys whites and a sandy they all work equally as well But my ideal ferret if good worker would be a white jill of medium size Quote Link to post
