hi would like sum info on salmon fishing in rivers the best wae to fish worm ?

the best kind of spiners i am new to salmon fishing i lost 1 the this mornin in my local river it took me down sum fast water and got off cheers

Fly fishing for salmon the best mate nothing better when you get a salmon to take a fly and they fight like hell, a local trout fishery near me stocked some salmon on his stillwater pools and they were coming out on all sorts lures, daddies, natural flys the best though.All the best but shrimps/prawns are good on rivers to.

I've also just started trying salmon fishing and have been listening to advice from all who'll give it. On my local river in Ayrshire everyone suggests pink flying Cs or rapalla type lures. best (laziest) day out fishing is with a big tub of worms and an even bigger carry-oot

Good old fashioned lob worms from the veg patch, in a bunch fished bouncing along the bottom. If you like spinning my personnal favourite is a mepp size 3 or 4 bronze anglia longue

Fly's any type of shrimp pattern or a thunder and lightning.

But what you really need is loads of self confidence that what you are doing is right, and salmon in your stretch of the river.

I would say the best method by far is 50yds of multi mono 4 3/4" netting

it never fails and its nice to see some bars of silver in your net t

2 worms threading up the hook and onto the line by the head, and a worm threaded onto the hook the stop the other 2 slippign down, will look like a quid, tortted along the bottom, works wonders with salmon

jst another question if any one could help [bANNED TEXT] ur worm fishing [bANNED TEXT] u get a bite do u strike it straight away or leave it for a few seconds because i was fishing today and i was gettin sum gd bites im sure it was salmon and [bANNED TEXT] i was strikin straight away there was nuffin

give it some line then strike to set the hook

I fish the Welsh Rivers (Tywi, Teifi, Taff etc).

A good book to read is Hugh Falkus book on Salmon Fishing its got a good section on Worm fishing in there.
