brother fox 1
Plenty of them here in Australia. Fella here has been breeding a line of them for 30+ years with some very heavy culling. Good dogs for hunting cover, swamps and blackberries where they only have short runs but where they have to run over 500 yards they can be found to be a bit wanting. Quote Link to post
swamper 11
iv only seen one but it wasn't working....but it was one helluva size and i would have thought very capable of the big stuff Quote Link to post
wee gemm hunter 8
Seen one in the seventies, good looking bitch, bumped into the guy one morning said he had four hares in his bag, more like hotair in it,if you were carrying four hares I think the bag would have looked a bit bulky to say the least, but the bitch certainly looked the part. Aaron Proffitt 142
Not for nothing ...but why cross the two ? An Airedale is an exceptional dog, and a greyhound is great at what he does ... why feck with it ? Quote Link to post

Good dogs for hunting cover, swamps and blackberries where they only have short runs but where they have to run over 500 yards they can be found to be a bit wanting. That really surprises me as my Airedale has incredible stamina: she'll run with the lurchers all day and never looks tired. I know that she's nowhere near fast enough to run down a healthy rabbit on top, but her work ethic is unstoppable: maybe they don't like hot climates? Quote Link to post
