If pups are 7-8 weeks old and have been taking solids successfully for a while and they should of at that age take the milk off her by taking her away from the pups and putting epsom salts in her bait for 10 days. Gradually increase her walking till she tightens up then Bike and gallop her. Slowly slowly, Patcience. thanks mate been on soilds for 4 weeks had 2 because there was so many and she could not cope (11)and get that stuff 2 morrow Quote Link to post
Oldand 5 Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 Just wondering is bad till run a bitch with still milk in her and if it what damage can it do? and while am here what the best stuff for drying up milk? iceman i always use the natural method make a 'tea' of garden mint, dried mint use a tablespoon in a saucepan of half a pint of cold water bring to the boil, let it stand and give it internally, three times a day,then externally rub warm camphorated oil on to teats morning and night for a week, after which replace camphor oil with warm vinegar.
