Red-Rocks 5
Im on re-shaping and finishing my hw90 stock and need sum advice. its a beech stock, ive stripped it with nitromors, re-shaped it a little and im now ready to add the finish but im not sure how to go about it. i dont want to sand 50 years of growth from it but the original stain is realy patchy and im thinking if i dont get this stain out, my finished stock will be patchy. will this be the case or wil i get away with a re-stain or even just an oil finish without getting the original stain out? Go to the Reloading. Optics . . Forum. There's a pinned site at the top from a guy who rebuilds stocks. Worth contacting him.
