had my first trout after 3 months of starting fly fishing 2 pound 10 ounces rainbow at westlow mere conglton and my 2nd trout from chirk fishery 1 pound 15 ounces blue trout carnt wait to go agine

it was put in the day before for a comp no one caught it. it pulled him about a bit

try using naturals , nymphs and buzzers nice and slow, you can use sight bobs as well to get to differant depths

will give them a try mate got some buzzers think ive got couple of nymphs what line you use on yours ive got intermediate on mine

I also have re-taken up fly fishing. Been down to Marton Heath a few times and caught 3 rainbows on my first time, had a great time, I'm just concentrating on my technique which has got very very sloppy (havent fished for 16 years). Off to Westlow soon.

im goin to hire a boat next time go westlow mere they cachting more than any one eles only 7 pound but have to book in advance keep at mate

well done. still remember my first fish on a fly rod wasent big but better than any fish i have caught on spinning/worming rods

Had a 3 3/4 Lb rainbow at Weslow today, bloody amazing fun it was charging about all over the place completly different to the other trout fisheries I've been to. Very powerful and fit fish. Was a bit nippy but had a lovely day.

well done mate nice size fish they do put up a better fight there only caught two one at westlow and one at chirk the one at westlow put up a better fight and a lot other people say the same im gone to go after cristmas when i get chance and get some more flies what did u catch urs on got mine on blood worm :thumbs-up:

We were using Okey dokeys.

 

A guy we were talking to there was using blood worms and had had 5 trout in the morning.

you cant beet a good brown trout in the pan with a little butter and salt and black pepper :notworthy: :notworthy:
