Stripe 0
Anybody have any experiance with saluki crosses? Unfortunately I lost my current lurcher and somebody gave me a 8/9 month old saluki cross (greyhound poss some collie)and it is insane. Got it house trained, recal is getting there (with treats in an enclosed feild so it cant run off or hurt itself too much) anybody got any ideas or is it a case of waiting until it calms down? Any help greatly appreciated Stripe

I had a half cross collie grey and had it on a barf diet until the vet gave me such a hard time about the diet and so put it on a commercial food. the dog went scatty in a matter of 3 - 4 days!! After 10 days I got it back on barf and he settled down within 48 hrs. Lesson firmly learnt re: listening to a vet that is sponsored by a commercial dog brand. . . . that is dont listen to them!!! Good luck!

MissRhianL 70
my pup is exactly the same, he wil retrieve a balkl, stick anythin like that, hes great, some weeks he will come to you everytime u call him and other weeks, he just totally blanks you, hes like il come in my own time after i do this, its a nightmare as you start to get angry, its not the odd day here an there its the odd week here and there, no matter how much time i spend with him, thats how he is. Hel retrieve for me, once he got a rabbit on his own hes great, if there is another dog on the scene he'l leg it so the other dog cant have it. they say saluki crosses they tend to listen when they want to, its just time.
