Thanks for the replies, that is a very comprehensive site golloum. i reckon, with a bit of head scratching, i could do that. i dont have any actual net twine, can i use anything else or is that just false economy? I would get in touch with advanced netting or the net loft and order some decent twine. It is a bit of a head scratcher when you first try repairing, stick with it though....its a skill you will definitely require if you long net at night. I just got back from a quick drop with a footline chewed through and I suspect a mesh or two gone too. That's life Out with the needle tomorrow... HH G. Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
Anyone got a number for the net loft? i dont seem to be able to get the email to send Cheers Quote Link to post
andy mecca 5
if the damage is really bad cut that whole section out and then relace the two sides back together you will lose a bit of the kill or bagging but it is quicker than trying to repair especially if you have'nt done this before. i am also an ex fisherman so i know you will be tearing your hair out at first like trapper says get a purse net and practice all the best ANDY Quote Link to post

Could it be because the net was soaking, does that weaken them? Quote Link to post
Guest RN-Rabbit-Control
Could it be because the net was soaking, does that weaken them? Not if it's a commercial nylon net, as they are made for use in the sea. Quote Link to post
