Is this a wind up? A university student that can't spell equipment, let alone start sentences with capital letters and end them with either a question mark or a full stop. E by gum I suppose we will have another set of record exam results next year. :whistling:

Can't you put your questions into one of those annoying online poll things students delight in clogging up various forums with? Makes it appear a little more legitimate imho.

1.age - 39

2.gender - Pre op transexual

3.did anyone in particular get you into hunting - Family

4. what age did you start hunting - 11

5. why do people hunt - Various reasons

6. what would happen to all the animals if you didnt hunt - Which animals? The ones I hunt, or the ones that live because I hunt the animals that hunt them?

7. do you use dogs for hunting if so how do you train them - no

8. what euipment do you take hunting - gun, knife, binoculars, lamp, ammunition, lamp, torch, bag, sticks and camouflage. In the eyes of the government I am a terrorist.

9. what problems do you have with any of your euipment - It is expensive and I can't really wander round the 24 hour supermarkets while carrying it all.

thank you for your time

You are welcome.

Why do you carry two (2) lamps?

Ric :whistling:

I have been known on occasion to be talented in the art of breaking a lamp while in the middle of nowhere and having forgot to put a spare torch with working batteries in my bag. So we now take a hand held lamp in addition to a scope mounted lamp (and sometimes even a working torch or two) just in case my talent for breaking the hand held lamp at an opportune moment manifests again.

I hope this clarifies the matter to your satisfaction.

Yours in sport

No wonder its so expensive for him!

Seriously tho'! This post does at best seem a bit naive at worst sinister.

Perhaps a bit of background to the character would help.

it does beg the question; don't they teach social etiquette at school anymore? Basic social protocals are obsolete it seems.

I don't know what kind of university the OP attends, but any such questionnaire based on a general public sample would need to fulfil certain criteria. It would need to be assessed and approved by at least a senior tutor, but more likely an ethics committee (depending on the level). Further it would be standard protocol to state the full name of the person conducting the research, their academic affiliation, department and a contact address, phone number and email, along with details of how the data will be used, the stated purpose of the research and an opt-out.

Fill in the blanks OP and I'm sure, once verified, you'll get more responses. :whistling:
