I'm going to get either the mk1 or mk3 when I get abit of money so you sure the mk1 can pick up mk1 collor and mk3 collor then? and will it be more accurate with mk3 collor?

Get a MK3, all the MK1's are becoming worn out now, and Deben won't refubish them now ;)

I've never used a Mk1, so can't comment on how good/bad they are, but from what i hear they are getting harder to get fixed when they do go wrong.

I use the Mk3 with a original mk3 collar and a mk3m collar, and i get spot on every time, and that is all i need from a locator, not having used a mk1 i also found the mk3 easy to use, i think the reason they sometimes get bad feed back, is the same reason a some people have moaned about the change on this site, some people just don't like change.

Get yourself a Mk3 mate, you won't be dissapointed.

Sorry bouncer but I'm going to buck the trend and say don't get one !

Mk 3's work and once you get used to their ways are usable bits of kit ,But if you have a decent working Mk1 why spend damn near £150 on something that you don't need. I mean the mk 3 is still just a ferret locator ,it won't dig the thing up for you .
