had an 02 mountains of problems with it new engine and gearbox at 64000,crankshaft went on the engine.and the gearbox just gave up one day driving home had to drive home in 4wd 3rd gear, then i had to replace the heater matrix cxxt of a job.then the electric window motor, then had to get new pullies on my new engine and new thermostat, spend your money wisely and dont but a heap of shit.maybe i just had a bad 1 but i wouldnt have another.i done abit of research after i had a new engine and gearbox fitted at £2000,i know it was abit late for the research.but there seems to be a few need new crankshafts fitted, good luck in finding a good motor.

Hi,

I have an 02 Reg. I must admit it's been not bad, I have been everywhere with it, in fields up the side of hills, deep mud etc. just came up this hill in photo in low ratio 4 wheel drive last winter, there was no turning back.

My dislikes are, it is high revving because of low gearbox ratio and uses quite a lot of diesel, but excellent for lamping and shooting out of window with short barrelled rifle and very comfortable on the road, having said that I don't think I would have another, I fancy a Toyota Hilux next time.

Bob.

I bought an 02/52 plate one about 6 months ago, the only bad thing I find is the mpg. Apart from that I've no problems with mine! Put bigger tyres on, and ifor williams cab for the dogs. In the 6 months of ownership its been around the fields putting feed out for the pheasants, carried 1/2 tonne corn in the back before the cab went on and pulled a trailer with a tonne on, no problems at all
