would like to no what breed of terrier you think is best to use as an earthdog also reasons why this breed what are the advantages of this breed over other.

its not the breed its the terrier indivualy!

there is good and bad in every breed, every strain!

 

for me its lakeland, fell or lakie type russels!

i like the harsh coat! ;)

spose it would depend on what you're hunting and the kind of country you're hunting?

for those that dont know me i keep a mixed kennel , parsons russell x2 lakies, pats and bedlingtons and they all do the job or they wouldnt be here some are better than others some are harder some are more bayers some are bigger some smaller but they all have to earn there keep

Russells for me ,most the strains I've worked with worked well and didn't have to be in hospital most the season but I agree there is good and bad in most breeds and strains/lines,Ive worked with some good blacks but a lot just seem hell bent on self distruction ;)

i agree my russell is keen as but doesn't get smashed up even when entering wrong holes CP
