Feed or not?

what are Ur opinions on feeding dogs that mourning before lamping at nyt? for example would anyone feed there dog in thee mourning if they aint going lamping till 11 that nyt ?

i wouldent run a car on empty mate so i would not run a dog empty

yes but you cant fill themno.gif mate it can cause big problems.

I would feed the full amount of dogs food am..

 

And feed it when it gets back..

 

If your running it hard you need some fuel in the tank..

id feed them a small bit that morning u should never feed a dog its full amount in the eveing before going lamping.would u feed a greyhound before a race NO.would a

runner have a big meal just before a race NO.

Yes i agree dont think you read my post correctly i said A.M meaning say 9. and take the dog out at say 11 pm Thats 14 hours later the dog will of digested there food way before then....

 

I have feed my dogs at 6pm and worked them at 12pm...

 

You cant flog them on a empty stomch.. But i would never feed a few hours before running..

I think it all depends on the dog...

 

Most of my dogs always had a meal in the morning before a nights work,

 

But iv had a couple that would not run with nothing in there stomach if you so much as gave the a round bread they would looup that night, So they had to be run empty,

 

And if iam expecting company for a long nights lamping then a good fatty meal the day before and a small breakfast that morning and they will have pleaty in the tank to put in a real decent shift,

 

I think its trail and error with them too see what suits you and the dog...
