first permission

afternoon all. i just like to say (show off) that today Ive finally got my FIRST permission. my dad recently got a new job as herdsman on a farm. and i thought i just give it a go not expecting much, and just like that 'bam' Ive got 800acers of permission. :icon_eek: . i hear people giving out letters, cards, and ringing farmers up Ive even seen in magazines people willing to "buy permission" , all i can say is go and ask . whats the worsed that could happen?

Took me a great deal of time to get a verbal, even longer to get a written permission.

 

I am assuming your a competent shot and you've got relevent insurance?

If no to either, then sort it quick and lastly; dont forget to take your camera with your rifle :yes:

:thumbs: yep my insurance is sorted . i do need a new rifle tho , so i wont be shooting anything till Thurs when i get it. i pride myself on making a quick easy painless kill. i might kill myself by then tho with the excitement of getting out there!!! :D and pics to come ofcourse

What type of insurance and at what cost?

Just need some third party and public liability insurance.

I've chosen BASA (via the airgun mags) cost me about £18.00 a year.

 

Looked at BASC insurance, good but very pricy for my pocketicon_redface.gif So as I only needed a basic insurance I got it from BASA.

 

There was supposed to be a THL club insurance arranged with a company, but having tried numerous times to get info and having no replies I figured it may no longer be available.
