Replacement collars

The leather collars for my locator have swollen up with the damp from working, they are now a bugger to fit back through the transmitters.

I see Deben do replacement nylon ones but has anybody had any success with other sources?

no, I dont take the locator off the collar, just pass it back on itself, enough to remove batteries, that way you dont loose anything

How do you twist the transmitters open without removing the collar?

Don't cat collars have elastic in them? I'm screwed if I'm going to make a habit out of digging transmitters out with ferrets safe in the box...

hi tug

what i do with my collars is rub a little bit of boot pollish on them about once a month it keeps them waterproof & stops them from swelling.

also at the end of the season do same then put them away.
