feeding advice

Recommended Posts

hi guys, i have just been given 3 ferrets, 2 jills and a hob. when i went to pick them up the guy says they'd recently been ill and lost a lot of weight. the 2 jills i don't think i've ever seen thinner ferrets. the hutch came with them, and there does'nt seem to any particular sign of diarrhoea etc. i've never met the chap before but the house did'nt exactly look well looked after and with beer cans piled up outside the door and all around the garden, i wondered if it was'nt more a case of neglect than illness. they seem happy in them selves. any suggestions on what it could be? needless to say i'm keeping them well away from my own ferrets to be safe and washing my hands in between handling the two groups. any suggestions and what to feed to help build them back up, i usually feed cat biscuit, which they ate happily last night
