chippy28 1 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 was wondering if anyone as had a problem with this rifle as i've got one in .22lr and it started firing when i pushed the bolt in and cocked it lucky no bullet in at the time!!! Sent it back to edgar brothers who said they had to replace a sear in the trigger. Any coments and advice welcome. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 Prime example of why you never point a gun at anything you don't want to shoot!! Sadly, nothing is perfect and things go wrong, is the rifle old or new, has it had a lot of use and was the trigger adjusted very light. On the whole these are very good and very reliable but in the event of problems Edgar Bros are likely to be able to supply parts or repair quite quickly! Quote Link to post

Edgar brother were brilliant rang them up they told me to take it to local dealer for them to return it and it was back within a week could not fault it! Quote Link to post

waidmann 105 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 had a similar problem with a break barrel combination( 30,06 12g) due to hardend grease behind the firing pin.never had any probs with bolt action though.as mentioned above you cant be too carefull when loading/unloding any weapon( a friend of mine put a .300 win mag through the back seat of an x-trail while loading a blaser 93,exited the car at the wheel arch missing another chap by about a foot.bad practice turned very lucky!!) let us know what happens please.
