chartpolski 23,103
Fvck me !!! They are plucking Swallows out of the air.... they are killing mythical beasts.... they are coursing at 12 weeks !!!!! We should PTS all the Lurchers we have bred for a hundred years and line up to buy a Malamute X Greyhound !! They ARE the way forward !!!....... What a crock of shite !!!!!! Be a sarcastic b*****d then, but I will hand on heart swear that dog could catch swallows, it was unbelievable, and neither I or anyone else said it was the ultimate lurcher, you came to your own conclusion. I apologise for being sarcastic mate, but there is so much nonsense being posted on these sites, it's hard for us old guys not to shake our heads and have a chuckle !! Cheers. Totally agree then again old pit men only beleive wat they see and i have never seen a lurcher pup pluck a swallow out of the air.atb dell Whey, I lived up in East Cramlington, but was never a pitman....met many when I had the Whippets, and an old saying was "Believe nowt ye hear, and only half what ye see !!" A husky cross would have the owld lads laughing into their pints !! Cheers. Link to post

huntingalltheway 2
nice dogs and very well looked after but as for them being the next ultimate lurcher i think your full o shit, you say the dogs have already paid for themselves even if they didnt go out again bollox,at 11 mths you tell me how,and they were killing things at 7 mths(we both know what you mean)and not so much as a mark on em i personally think your just trying to big this accidental mating up and do it again next year at £500 a pup mate i wish the above could be true but i ve seen the mother to the pups work she a good dog. shes done what you wouldnt of thought could be possible for a malamute. i havnt lamped with the family for a long time now but many of my mates still do and they are all saying the same comments none are negative. the family never lie about there dogs and never over praise a dog to big it up. if anything they are very critical on there dogs if they had a slight problem which to us guys probly isnt trust me we would know about it. so if unfit is saying great things then you should trust his word. Tyla 3,179
Well, i've just read the whole thread. Some of you lot need to get out and have a duel with your hand bags, i hear dawn is traditional. it gets so catty on here! im always surprised by these threads, peoples ability to judge dogs based on pictures alone and then to have full blown arguements based on these judgements!!! i've never seen these dogs work, in fact i've seen very few dogs other than my own work, but its beyond me how anyone can know what they're like without seeing them? if i was sure they were rubbish and wanted to prove a point i'd be down like a shot with a video camera so how come people who have got all wound up over it havent done that???? Personally they are not my cup of tea and seem young to have done so much but without seeing i'll never know so i'll not judge. Chalkwarren has it right, all the best to ALL crosses. if someone likes them and is willing to keep them, why not? its not like anyone is being forced to buy them is it? Good hunting to all! mackay 3,323
As the old saying goes, talk is cheap. The man (who I don't know from Adam) has offered an invite out to anyone interested, why doesn't someone take him up on his offer and then come back and offer a constructive first hand opinion. huntingalltheway 2
I reckon they look superb athletic dogs: and look at the feet on them! Tough as old boots I'd say. I just wondered how trainable they are? Or is it just a matter of point and slip? Would they work with ferrets and though I know you said you only lamp them, would you say that they had the potential to use their noses to make good all round mooching/bushing dogs? Just wondering. hi just to add i went out with the bloke who bred them with the mother to the pups. the malamute during the day we did a spot of ferreting and her nose and marking was always true. to top it off we went for a walk with out the ferrets. we came accross some strong bramble and my beddy x struggled to get under it then all of a sudden the malamute spotted a rabbit in the thick. she litterally smashed her way though it to get to the rabbit now bear in mind shes 26 tts and my beddy x was only about 20tts. this isnt the first time shes done it shes a great dog to work with terriers aswell. because of her coat and great strength it like she was just walking through grass and her intelligance is supperb i've worked my lurcher with her when they were both pups and by using her brain she caught alot of the rabbits that in theiry my lurcher should of caught but by using her brain she would cut it off and the rabbit would run into her mouth. hope some of my experiences with the mother has helped.
