has the greyhound done much or won much mate alot of guys just want proven dogs to line or you may end up paying a bit for line

could always use just a well bred coursing dog , the added greyhound will throw some new blood into the mix , i think this as been done previously with a known coursing bitch to a greyhound dog . i think , im sure someone mentioned it to me not so long back , as for pures , its all cruise line , thats all you hear about .

praise to the people trying to import some new blood into the country from abroad .

I cant see the point in breeding first crosses [bANNED TEXT] theirs loads of tried and tested strains of saluki hybreds out their being bred.Its only my opinion but [bANNED TEXT] these type of dogs are bred all the greyhound puts into them is more speed to the detriment of everything else.Over the years i have bred 3 litters of good greyhound bitches to saluki type dogs and found this to be the case.atb dell

I used a saluki/grey latch sold my mate called jed in the late 80s putting him to a greyhound bitch and then again to a beddy/deerhound/grey/hybred.atb dell

thanks for the replies lads, so does anyone know of any pures up for stud? what about khan jihad? i want the pups for the deer tracking job not out and out hare coursing dogs. whats peoples opinions on first x's for the deer job?

heres the bitch, wont be breeding for awhile want to get the bitch grafting first and see what she is like if she's going to be worth breeding off.

put my saluki ghound dog to a ghound bitch abi you can see her on my profile pics she 25tts the dog pups all turned out 28tts the ghound only puts speed in just my opinion sire on my pics aswell bull my black dog got his younger brother aswell bru the red dog abi 13months old and im very happy with her had 2roe and plenty hare there to please me mate

IMO any more than half greyhound and you are just asking for trouble (ie injuries) unless you are solely running grass parks or extremely good ground. If a 3/4 grey ends up in woods "tracking deer" it's only a matter of time it come a cropper.

mate bred dogs for years for the old flushng and tracking game on roe for over 18 years , got scores of pics and letters of guys who bought them , if you are going to use a greyhound test it first on game if you are not happy with it dont breed of it same with saluki see something thta floats your boat i did and got a tydy line of dogs now ,took a while tho, better than either saluki or greyhound for game and have feet like soup plates , had genuine first crosses out of tor of dartmoor and dogs out of cruise lines and bregawn many years ago but shaped them for the game , have fun pm me if you want good advise ,best dogs ive had and saw were not just greyhound to a saluk even tho they were good
