Guest dunnyyyyyy
the accelleration means the accelleration due to gravity, and i handed it in on time "phew" :11: thanks for help
Wilky 0
From a chemical engineering point of view, it's a direct calculation of static head, static head being the equivalent of 1Psig (as opposed to Psia) per every 1 1/2 foot of static head. The width dimensions of the vessel are irrelevant and the weight of the liquid is also irrelevant, just the height dimension at atmospheric pressure and the specific gravity of the liquid in the vessel (which could be construed as being negligable). It's more to do with volumetrics than mass transfer, lts x sg = kg etc. etc. Therefore 10mts = 32'6" divided by 1 1/2 ft = 21.73 Psig Anyway it's back to laying bricks for me.
