websites to find tradesmen

Recommended Posts

might be better to create your own website with examples of your work along with some satisfied customer tetimonials, but you would still need to advertise regularly to drive traffic to it.You never know what will happen workwise, but at least people could check out examples of your craftmanship before contacting

you.Going with other trade websites may be easier to find you,but this is where advertising comes in,if you do it right you can generate enough interest to lead customers to your own.Good luck,

Higgins.

I tried a paid site a long time ago and it really was'nt worth it. Avoid tele-sales reps who cold -call . Quite likely to get yousr card details and dissapear. There are lots of other scams like telling you they are representatives of the emergency services internal trade journal and such and you'll be the only Joiner/plumber/ kitten-juggler on their books or on their web site . . .

I once paid a bit extra to have one of my regular local paper adverts extended to a web-page only to find that they'd simply posted a pretty shoddy advert on one of the FREE advertising sites that I was already advertising on !.

Try some of the "Free Index" type sites . They cost nothing and you can control all the content yourself . Nothing to lose .
