If the Gardai refuse to get involved then return the favour to the gun club when they park up and Give out far worse than you get, most can give it out when they don't expect it back. Mind you I thought the Gardai were pretty hot on firearms offences? shooting a car window out is pretty serious.

If the Farmers taking the dogs though I'd guess the guys didn't have permission to run on that land??? so they should of known the risk of running their dogs.

Lads I used to course in Meath and was never bothered but we were on with permission and any time we met lads from north we switched to our vans just in case there were dogs shot by farmers in the past as well I know that this time of year coursing clubs dont like lads killing hares but if the Gards arent interested well!!!! just wanna be careful if you have decent dogs they arent worth lossing

I live close to Meath meself and have hunted there. One night we were out and a load of farmers blocked us in they thought we where robbing houses.

It didn't help that we all had Dublin accents. They blocked us in untill armed detectives came and made sure we weren't breaking into houses to rob the farmers guns.

it finished on a good note. But regarding other hunters, we have the same rights whether guns or dogs.

Personally i would bring a bag of My Dogs finest droppings from the kennels id pop a window and empty the contents onto every seat in the car. REAL BULLETS.
