hi is it worth rolling your own,what does it cost per net ? and where is the best place to get hemp from?

I've been making my own for a while now its a hell of a lot cheaper than buying them, Drop John hubery a pm I buy all of my net making gear from him & he sells a good net making dvd and sells hemp and spun polly, needles ect ,

Well worth the effort. Saves money and you can make much better nets than can be bought.

if you look at the sticky post ( purse net making, by the big fish ) it will help you no end , well worth making your own, best feeling when you have made something that works ( catching bunnies in your own net )

Making your own is not only a lot cheaper but you can make them to your own spec

It also gives you so much satisfaction to know that you made the nets you are catching the rabbits in yourself

We always use polyester but there is so many good materials to choose from GIVE IT A GO

But on the other hand if making your own is not for you there is some good quality nets out there

on the market but shop around for the best price and quality though

i know where your coming from , i reload for centerfires because its better ammo and its rewarding when you knock down charlie with a home load, looks like i,ll be giving it a go then.

Great fun making your own nets and you can make them to what ever size you want not stick to regimental shop sizes

you can make 14/15 3 1/2ft nets out of the polyester from dd timber easier than hemp as it doesnt snap as easy but the hemps more traditional .if theres a boyes near you they have stuff for drawcord at about 5/6pence a metre probably works out -90p hemp works out £1.50 a net

You will make you own nets for about half the price of brought ones. It all depends how you value your time as it will take around an hour to make one net.
