bedrock 16
There’s a few different seeland coats and trousers on offer here http://www.johnnorris.co.uk/shop/br_seelan...-jacket-52.html Quote Link to post
BellySlater 15
Got myself a Deerhunter RAM jacket (available in Realtree OR Green)off ebay for £70. Got to say it's the dogs.....already been out in a downpour and not a drop seeped through. It's light, waterproof and silent, great for shooting. Not sure i'd trust it for beating or heading through brambles but I guess that's what my Barbour is for eh? Quote Link to post
Guest AngelicAcid
Theres a few on here that look O.K. The Hamton and the Brandon. Anyone REALLY USED these jackets? Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
I'd go for the Ram jacket as a decent knock about field coat for that price, Though if you cvould find a cheap Montana they are better. If it was me and I was lookin for sommat to last, i'd go for a second hand 'heavyweight' Barbour. Wax holy feck out of it and wear a fleece under in cold weather, i'd bet within a month or two it'll feel like an old friend! Quote Link to post
Guest AngelicAcid
Cheers again, i will have a look and see what comes up Quote Link to post
yorkshire 151
just came up for equestrian and dog food. its a wank web site , if you have one near you call in Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
I never really saw the point in buying a Barbour always thought cheaper Wax Jackets were just as good.... until I got bought one. I won't be going back! Extremely hard wearing, Waterproof and it's only about £30 for a full service on it (reproofing, sew up small tears etc.) Bad points are they can get bloody heavy when wet, if you get a longer version (just above your knees) the zip can rip out of the bottom seam. My mate has a Ram jacket which he rates very highly for mooching about but once the weather turns bad his old Barbour is dug out of the cupboard again. If you can afford it, why not go for both? Guest AngelicAcid
Ive got the Ram jacket, and a sealan, which ripped 2 nd day out. Quote Link to post
