i owned one out of swoop, she was the sister of Rooster. she was a very good bitch she was stolen when she was about 9/10 years old. daughter of merlin and eve

Brushes mate bought one as well a dog and him and a lad called lee went and bought one out of the luke litter.It was me who told brush about the merlin x eve breeding after seeing a bitch called tiger run out of that breeding.Their is a lot of speculation to wat happend to swoop as i heard a lot of rumours about it in the early 90s and two lads from down south who turned up to mate her to a caithness bred dog my mate had.

Swoop was a well known and well thought of bitch , others on here,such as Marco,and Miles etc could give more detail,Swoop 's brother was Rooster, their parents [i beleive] were Merlin / Eve, and those out of Fly /Hoover,I think.

Rooster was the sire of Drax,, and Braddie's Roxy among others.

Many, coursing dogs are saturated with this blood , in fact it would probably be difficult to find a top bred litter that did not have this blood in it at some point.

It has become a cliched selling point when advertising a coursing litter for sale , eg ," From Merlin /Eve lines", but has there ever been a more preponent line in the coursing world?

Merlin out of jeff smith s fly ,not sure about eve think i heard her sire was a pure saluki from grimsby or hull .

I always thought the line started in leicestershire i used to hear the name big garry mentioned quite often.There was a saluki about in the late 70s early 80s called trevor up north

Eve was bred by a rather nice chap called Russ. I was having a cup if tea with him the other week....... I have the full story but it may be a while before its ready to print.......
