mk3m finder

hi lads , i've had this finder for about 1yr now, i changed the batteries in the locater and the transmitter about 2 month ago .Went to it the other day and the batteries are dead.What i want to know is do you take the batteries out of trans and locate or do you just switch off with the magnet, and is anyone else having anyprobs.I'll put some more batteries in and see how long they last, if they go down again i'll have to give Deben a call

only use a mk3, but remove batteries every trip, Im sure I read somewhere that you should still remove batteries on a mk3m collar, the on/off facility was purely to save battery life whilst ferreting

i always remove the batterys from the collar and they seem 2 last me allot longer.

i remove mine after every trip aswell got a mk3 and mk3m battery seem to last longer

Same here remove the batteries and clean the collars

I leave the collar batteries in, just switch off with magnet, but take the locator battery out

just posted it to Deben to get it checked out,as its still under warrenty. But i think when it comes back the batteries are coming out after every outing. If theres no batteries in they can't go dead. cheers lads
