Out on a local smallholding last night for a few hours walk around under the full moon. We made our way through the first couple of empty fields up to where the sheep had been moved & soon spotted a fox way down the field sitting amongst the sheep. After a couple of minutes of calling it made its way towards us, clear of the sheep & a scrawny dog was flattened.

We made our way back to the yard without spotting anything else, had a break for a drink & started a second circuit. On reaching the top field not ten yards from where the first was shot a second dog was taken, unlike the first this one was carrying plenty of condition.

Second dog

Thick set & a belly full, he had obviously been taking advantage of the local houses that leave food out for them.

Not the best pic but you can get the gist of the difference between the two.
