Maybe im just old fashioned , i dont think lamping hares is any great achievement and certainly not worth bragging about. You get cudos in my book the more grace you give ie or 100 yards grace not 50 and only ever in daylight.

Don't know if you took the time to notice but they aren't long dogs are they, they are lamping dogs. If the lad wanted to course hares in the day he would have bought himself a long dog like you have presumably.
