Foxgun Tom 75
shamus, your right!! "we are all equal, just some are more equal than others." If the hunting ban is repealed in England and Wales? mark my words "it will only be to the benefit of organised packs and the MFHA!! it will not be repealed in favour of Lurcher or Terrier work and it will be licensed?" I'm not spreading or advocating any type of division here only stating the obvious?? and we will be asked by the powers that be (countryside alliance) for our support again? I'm not giving it if its to the detriment of the ordinary lads and not for the benefit of everyone who hunts with dogs Tom Edited November 2, 2009 by Foxgun Tom

I'm not giving it if its to the detriment of the ordinary lads and not for the benefit of everyone who hunts with dogs Tom mate i was saying excactly the same last night on a thread on here! we will be no better off when the act is changed, our type of hunting will just come with stricter penalties where as the horse and hounds will be given loop hole to slide the silver spoons through! dont get me wrong im not against their hunting in any way shape or form in fact i even enjoy the spectacle! but the law will never be what it was and will definatley never be better! the best chance we have of it to be honest and its a really sick thought and not something i would ever condone! but if the immigrants who are fllooding this country from eastern europe could in any concievable way overthrow our shithouse goverment and take over then the views they haave on hunting maybe adopted! f**k me what a thought!! gonna haave to knock the ssmoke on the head ! lol. :headshot::

flint67 2
nothing could be clearer from reading this forum that the hunting community does not stand together. I wonder why we think it should ,as diverse and manyfold are the hunting activities ,so too the opinions of the hunters . Is there any group of people this large anywhere that can agree on a topic this complicated. . .of course not. The reason we are all thrown together is the oldest reason for alliance there is . .my enemys enemy is my friend. .ie the antis enemies are my friend. I support foxhunting , terrierwork and lurcherwork i have no opinion one way or the other about wildfowling stalking or rough shooting. I find it hard to make a case for carp fishing or driven pheasant shooting other than it is entertainment for humans ,but i dont oppose it. i detest driven hare shooting and bagman foxes and dont ever ever ever ask me to stand united with the people who drive through my land destroying everything and leaving dead game to rot in the field. Technically they are lurchermen too, the divisions in hunting lie deep and go back a long way There was a post in the terrier section this week criticising a shooter who claimed to have shot 400 foxes this year. A couple of people said it was excessive , a couple said it sounded like bull , and a couple said that criticism was uncalled for and simply divisive. The topic did not break down into a slanging match but was locked because "we should all stand together." i know that some sort of censorship is necessary on these forums , the mods cant allow abusive posts for instance, but is it really necessary to lock hot issue topics? The hunting act infringed on our freedom , but are we to infringe on each others rights to freedom of speech? Is it not possible to just delete the abusive posts in a thread , rather than just lock it? We all have different opinions on hunting and there are those of us on here who are capable of debate without resorting to abuse. The topic i am referring to was locked because sean thinks that we should all unite and not criticise one another , fair enough ,thats his opinion , but we shall hear no others. We are all fieldsports enthusiasts but we dont have to sleep together . .we just have to turn up on the same day and vote tory. I would love to hear the opinions of those who disagree with me id like to hear from those in favour of carted stags , which i am opposed to . No doubt some fool will call me an anti for disagreeing with but can we not just have a debate on a divisive subject without being told to either agree with each other or shut up.
