Getting my first lurcher in 4 weeks

im getting a blue merl lurcher bitch in four weeks.

this will be the first lurch that i have brought up from being a pup.

My Dad's lurcher is 15 months now and i have been slipping him for some time now + fancy one of my own.

any tips on traning or any ideas for names ?

firstly listen to your old man. secondly get hold of the dvd purdy's progress. ideal training aid for a young un.

Nice going, i have myself a border collie x whippet 1/4 whippet 3/4 collie, taking the collie traits he is mine, i want a Lurcher, preferably Deerhound/grey x collie/grey, theres nothing wrong with my dog at the min, just that he plays with the rabbits not taking them, he has had about 20 all together over 2 years,

 

Well done, and listen to your old man, they know best, most of the time.

just keep all the training fun for it. dont over do it as the dog will get bored and not want to do all the things you want it to. hoope it all goes well for you and your dog.

Good luck with your new dog, im sure your dad will help you out.

I find it hard picking names for dogs, i like to wait until i see it or a pic before i start thinking of any.
