That was tops mate.

You are one lucky man, I have never had an interst in birds and as such have not really seen birds in action, but that my friend was an awsome sight.

Just hope you are handing down this kowledge to someone else.

I am not a big hunting man but do get out a few times a week on my own land i have a lurcher and a jack russel. I have never owned 2 lurchers at the same time which is something i would have love to have done. Come to think of it i havent had that many lurchers, i allways get them about 2 year old and they stay for life.

Once agaain cracking video keep up the good work. I bet you was a proud man with a big smile on your face when you sat back and looked at that.

Dirtwinger that was great footage. Got to wonder if the falcon helps the dogs stay sighted?

Very well observed! Particularly in sage the dogs use the falcon to reconnect with the hare a great deal. Also it is not uncommon for the falcon to spot a hare out of sight of the dogs and go after it, the dogs learn to follow the falcon and catch hares they ordinarinly wouldnt even see. The bells on the bird also help when the dogs lose track as they key in on the sound. I hunt a lot of places with fairly heavy cover and without the falcon the dogs would never catch a hare there.

all the best Dirtwinger

Totally awesome: that sight stirs the most primitive of hunting instincts: the love of the chase, the 2 species of animals working together: PLEASE do some more!!

On another note: you would think that it is a done deal when there is both ground and arial pursuit: do the jacks ever manage to escape in open country like that? Or do they go to ground like some hares do if hard pressed enough?
