just got back bein perfect weather all day, very windy, sky full of clouds, then when we set off all the clouds f****d off, only manged wo bunnys, ,

Just got back with my old girl 5 runs no rabbits and she was all out of sorts! maybe she's coming into season or just having an off day but thats unlike her she just didn't seam to want to pick them up!

was out2nite,,,,not much off a moon

 

took my smallest whippet out,,,,not done much on lamp,,,,was dissapoint in his prefomance,,,he wasnt turning as he normally does,,he should off had a few

 

but i was pleased with his behaviour to the lamp,,,as its all new to him,once chase was over ,,he was starght back to heel,,till he got the command on another rabbit in the beam

 

 

 

cos it was lashing it down earlyier on ,i didnt think i was going to go out ,but then the rain stopped,,,i did give him a good feed at tea time ,,,and i cant help thinking that might off payed a big factor in his prefomance,,,as when the bunnys were turning he wasnt turning that well,,,as normally he will match them stride for stride,,,the spark wasnt there ,,,,,,,but thats hunting for u,,,wouldn,t be sport if it was easy all the time

 

 

1st time he,s had a 4/5 runs and came back with nothing,,,,( but on the plus side,,,i was over the moon with his ability,working with me as a team on the lamp 2nd time out ),,,but i guess that doesnt fill the pot 2mmorow

 

 

gave him a good check over, nothing wrong with him,,,,,but his bellys full,,,wont make that mistake again

got back from last night with only 1 rabbit in the bag the wind was spot on but the moon made it lyk daylight last night had some good runs though atb great white

was out last nite it was blowing a gaile and raining. took my old dog and a ten month old bitch. the old dog got into a fox then went on and chased a hare and the pup caught it fine style so not a bad night
