uru 341
If this has been discussed, forgive me,I missed it.But can anyone tell me ,when and thru what dogs the New Nuttall began.I have some old Nuttall bred dogs and they are gritty.I had a pair of the New Nuttall blood and they didn't satisfy.I was told that Nuttall changed his breeding because the old style were too gritty for the houndsman and needed a softer dog.I don't know, but it seemed to make sense.thanks uru Quote Link to post
madgerboy 11
Nuttal would say there is no difference. Most say Miners the dividing line. Thats due to border blood in him. Seen good and bad in both but "new"Nuttal are small dogs mainly, some say bred for the American market? Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
As has been said, he'll tell you theres no difference, it's all the same stuff. In my opinion Nuttals stuff changed well before Miner and i've seen some big dogs out of Miner which reminded me of his older stuff, so maybe he's right and there is no difference? Quote Link to post

Agree 100%,he s no doser he knows what works and what does nt.If i bred a black dog into my whites would that make them old and new?Only if the new was inferior but i know of miner blooded dogs that outclass, workwise and produce better than the old stuff which is supposedly bigger but defo not exceptionally better.
