Brimmer 220
Nice to hear people who appreciate the importance of locaters and ferret welfare, rather than the usual shite that i've not used one in 50 years. Quote Link to post

takman511 42
Ok so I went ferreting this morning and well I didn't catch anything also something that scared the crap out of me happened aswell, my ferret didn't surface for about 2 and a half hours, I would of dug a lot sooner but me being the numpty I am I forgot my spade, I called him and couldn't track him, so when i finally did track him and my dad dropped the spade off for me, I started digging, it was 9ft down it was clay and stones this soil, well it took me 3 1/2 hours roughly to dig down and then i realised that the reason he hadn't moved on is because it was a stop end and the tunnel conecting it had caved in, so I dug as quick as possible could, and when I got there I had a very lucky ferret as he would of suffocated if he had been in there much longer, he saw me and he litterally jumped at me and just was really excited to see me. Anyway sorry about no real purpose to this story but I just felt like sharing as it really did shake me up as he is my best worker. And I will now never forget my spade again and I am just so happy now he's back as I seriously thought I had lost him. JoeD did you dig 9 feet down mate if so wow thats a loong way down that 1st time ive heard of rabbits going into clay 9ft down too wow Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Well done, according to your measurements (hole= cylinder, 9ft wide, 6ft deep) you dug out around 382 cubic feet of compressed clay that weighs an average 100lbs per cubic foot. (figures off internet) That's about 38 tonnes! Fair play, you should be nicknamed JCB! (Mind you, my maths isn't what it use to be! ) Quote Link to post

Hob&Jill 258
Nice one Joe. I was out fishing today caught a 40lb tadpole, was a good fight. Got thirsty though so I drank the whole lake! After that I went ferreting on the local pig farm, you will never guess what..... one of the pigs started flying, amazing sight, caught 345 rabbits in half hour. On the way home I bumped into Cheryl Cole and Pamela Anderson had a quick threesome in the van. Just got back now, bit knackered actually. ATB HJ Quote Link to post
