martin 332
I had a whole tray(2 gallons)in the back of a Sierra, but, the maggots got a bit warm and sweated up,and, then they started to crawl out of the tray.I had maggots stuck in the carpet of the car that I had to squash where they were, and, every morning for weeks after I had to open the door for 5 mins before I could drive off just to let the clouds of Blue Bottles escape.............. JohnGalway 1,043
Put a few shot bunnies in a bucket in the boot one night. No worries, butchered them for larsen trap food the next day. What I didn't realise was there was a crack in one corner of the bucket, and yep it just had to be the same corner that any blood or other crap pooled up in. Had no reason to go near the boot for a few days but by God when I did  Out came all the tools, all the car stuff, had to throw away the boot mat and the cardboard wheel well cover, clean and wipe everything down, took a while to find and get rid of the wriggly fellas. I'll be bloody well checking buckets anymore Edited November 2, 2009 by JohnGalway Quote Link to post

mattydski 560
I used to work in a fishing tackle shop when I was 16-18...(37 now) The gaffer went on holiday..during which time there was a power cut...The fridges went off on a Saturday night, I opened up on a Monday morning, to a whole...and I mean whole shop covered in maggots......in every conceivable orifice, nook and cranny... I used a hoover, which was never the same again..... To be honest, i felt like jacking the job , and shutting up the shop after about 20 mins of clearing up.....but I got it sorted by mid afternoon....sort off!! Quote Link to post
mcass123 6
i done it once, we were at loch earn, in my mates brand new merc, packin up after a day and nights fishing and a good few too, i put the maggots in the boot, thought the lid was on properly!!! what a wee surprise we had as we emptied our gear out the boot  , i denied it of course after a shouting match we went for a few :alcoholic: and all was forgiven Quote Link to post
droid 11
Yep ive spilt maggots in the house a few times. The worse bit is when you think youve cleared them all up and all seems well. A week or so down the line flies start appearing     Been there, done that. Normal maggots aren't too bad, get 'Lancaster Bomber' flies, big black slow, easily swatted. Pinkies give you Greenbottles though..... Not been so bad since I've had house ferrets though...... Quote Link to post
