Cheers Sam personaly i'd not be happy with 1" group in the .204, it should be grouping nearly 1/4 inch with a good load... Also the .204 is a fast flat round and the bore snake will not cut the mustard, and excessive use will mess up your barrel, get yourself a good dewy rod and a bore guide, some kg products, or similar, hoppes no 9 is good, also.. do not keep the forrest bore foam in too long as it contains ammonia, and could damage your barrel if left in for prolonged periods..... you need a good cleaning routine otherwise you'll see your accuracy really go downhill... reloader 10 is a good powder in the .204 but is a little dirty..... ATB. Snap. I will echo what Snap says. I don't possess a bore snake - great for emergency use out in the field I suppose but other than that a total waste of time for proper cleaning. I use a combination of Shooters Choice and KG 12, pro shot jags/brushes and patches. and every 60 shots of so I use JB Compound to remove the carbon ring in the throat. Quite simply with the small C/F s proper clean is so very essential to maintain consistent accuracy - if anyone is not prepared to spend time/money on the proper cleaning equipment of this great little calibre it would be best to swop it in for a more tolerable larger calibre.
