Davy T 3
Hi...Got back from orkney on Thursday .We were concerned about getting no shooting but we didnt need to worry. There was plenty of geese and the shooting was second to none . We ended our trip on 58 geese.....55 being greys and 3 pinkfeet...the pictures below showing the geese were taken on wednesday and we had 2 more flights still to go...an evening and a morning flight ....I know some people will say thats far to many geese but if you break it down into the flights we had we are actually under the limit set of 5 per gun per flight...There were 3 of us and we had 7 flights 4 mornings and 3 evenings ....all geese were cleaned and packaged for the freezer so none were wasted or dumped !!!! Andy We found it pretty easy ....however we did get a couple of knock backs due to the ground already being rented out for the goose shooting to italians....but most farmers we asked were ok ...dont get me wrong we did find geese fairly easy but we found one field with about 300-400 greys on it we set up next morning and only shot 6 coz the geese had decided to use another field which was a bit of a bummer...but we had a crackin few days and one of the guns with us shot his first goose so everyone was happy cheers Davy
