Either of the above work!

If you bury it be prepared for a long wait unless you find the right soil! And watch out for the squirrels as they tend to gnaw away at the antlers!

Boiling can also be a bit time consuming fiddly and smelly, remove as much as possible before!

You can also simply hang it in a convenient tree (at the right time of year), you would be amazed how quickly the flies/maggots take it apart!

Probably some evil chemical treatment available as well!

Have fun!

Have a look at this mate. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...leaching+skulls

I personally boil the head in water with a dash of washing powder for around 20mins, then scrape off all of the meat with a blunt knife (thin nosed pliers are useful too) once clean I paint on hydrogen peroxide cream then wrap in cling film and leave it overnight, wash the skull off next morning then its ready for the wall.

i always used to skin it then take as much meat off as poss, then cut it for the plaque then boil it far about an hr then power wash and scrape the remaining meat off then i would leave it in peroxcide for a few hrs.
